Physical development across the lifespan-

The discussion this week focuses on ageism. You will need to consult with 3 older adults (preferably someone between ages 35-50, another between ages 51-65, and another who is 66+), such as your parents, grandparents, relatives, or neighbors. Collect the information and then put it in essay format.
First, ask yourself, and then ask the people you are interviewing, the following questions:

  1. What age is middle age? Why do you think this is the case? What are the typical physical signs of aging in middle age?
  2. What is old age? Why do you think this is the case? What are the typical physical signs of aging in old age?
  3. Are societal attitudes for attractiveness and fitness the same or different for people aged 20 versus 30  versus 40  versus 50 years? Be sure to state what the standards of beauty are, and whether they are the same/different for each of these groups and for men and women. Also, ask each person who is their ideal of beauty and why (i.e., get a name and age; usually people select movie stars)?

Second, for the interviewees, ask if the person has been exposed to societal attitudes because of his/her age AND what, if any, physical changes the person has noticed in his/her physical health and endurance.

A manager’s conflict | Human Resource Management homework help

What is the monetary value of a human life? Healthcare managers are tasked with establishing and maintaining a delicate balance between creating a profit and providing patient-centered healthcare each and every day. All decisions have a cost that can be measured in money, time, and/or quality of life. In a perfect world we would be able to provide every patient with unlimited care.

In 1-2 pages, discuss a minimum of 3 managerial decisions that can have positive or negative implications to patients. You should consider asset allocation, human resources, and time management in this discussion. Be sure to support your position with of why the decision would be made and how it could affect the patient population.

For example, a provider may choose to stop participating with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida because the reimbursement from the insurance company is not high enough to meet the overhead costs involved with treating patients. The results to the patients would include patients with BCBS of Florida would have to change providers, potentially disrupting the continuity of care, or pay the increased fees not covered by their insurance. In addition, the provider could potentially lose some of his/her patients.

Unit 2 dbp hn300 human services & social policy

Good Morning,

I need help with the below Unit 2 DBP.  I have also attached a word document for easier reading of directions.  Thank You

Charting a Course for the Future

To understand the human services profession, it is important to be able to access, not only the historical information about the field, but also current and future developments. To that end, it is essential to know how to locate current and future legislation that may affect service delivery. For that reason, this week you will spend some time researching the pending legislation that may affect your future career.

To begin, locate the home page of your local state legislature. If you are unable to locate the legislative home page for your state, you may visit the home page of the United States House of Representatives at Spend some time watching the proceedings if it is currently in session.

Locate the bills pending before the legislative body you are viewing. For the US House of Representatives, this is located on the right hand side of your screen under “Bills and Reports” but it should be easy to locate for your state legislature as well. Select one of the pending bills about which to write in your post. The bill you choose should relate to the human needs you discussed last week and/or the human services profession. Respond to the following questions regarding this bill:

·         State the name of the bill you have chosen and describe what it hopes to accomplish.

·         Make an argument for the passage of this legislation, i.e. Who would it help? Why is it important?

·         Now make the opposite argument. Why should it not be passed? What are some of the issues with this bill as it is written?

·         Relate this bill to the historical development of the human services profession. In what ways would passage of this bill continue the work that was started by early human service professionals?

Discuss how members of the human service profession might impact the passage of this bill
